UWB Ranging / Localization Kit – Products
UWB Ranging & Localization Development Kit
The Ranging and Localization Development Kit allows users to get started quickly testing the peer-to-peer ranging & communications capabilities of the P440 and P452 platforms and begin development of their own random, time-slotted, or code-based 1D, 2D, or 3D tracking networks.
The kit has been expanded to include five UWB modules, each with an antenna, enclosure, USB battery, and USB charger, ranging/networking software with a location engine to support navigation and tracking, a 3D tracking demo with auto-survey and Kalman filter, sample C and MATLAB code, documentation, and 5 hours of technical support.
The Ranging and Localization Development Kit has been updated to include two important new features. Prior ranging kits based on the P400 series family supported peer-to-peer ranging only. Now we have added a networking layer that automates the ranging process for network operation, and allows users the option of creating custom networks which support ALOHA or TDMA scheduling. We’ve also added an additional location engine that takes the coordinated range measurements and converts them into real-time 2D locations.
The Location Kit comes bundled with our RangeNet software that allows for the easy configuration of advanced radio networks with both fixed “beacons” and mobile units. The easy to use GUI allows users to quickly get running and easily visualize what is happening in the network. This allows for an easier transition to directly working with the RangeNet API to create your own custom systems.
The Ranging and Localization Development Kit is available in both standard power (US FCC Part 15 and EU ETSI EN compliant) and high power (experimental operation only) versions.
